(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - Charges have been laid against a driver following a collision involving a pedestrian.

On October 16, 2025, at approximately 5:00 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Garafraxa Street East and Cameron Street in Fergus. During the collision, a pedestrian was also struck.

The vehicle occupants did not sustain any injuries, and the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, an 82-year-old from Brantford, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Disobey stop sign - fail to stop

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph on a later date.
