DRIVER CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING IN WELLINGTON COUNTY

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Fergus driver is charged following a traffic stop on Wellington Road 18.
On November 29, 2025, at approximately 2:00 pm, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Wellington Road 18, outside of Salem, when they found a vehicle to be travelling at a high rate of speed.
As a result of the investigation, a 58-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive Motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
- Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a later date.
A 30 day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
