CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - An Erin resident faces charges after an intimate partner violence investigation.
On November 20, 2025, at approximately 1:30 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Erin.
The victim did sustain any reported injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old from Erin, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate or strangle
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Mischief - domestic
The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
