(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Dump truck driver faces careless driving charge after colliding with hydro wires in Mount Forest.

On November 18, 2025, at approximately 4:30 pm, members of the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a single commercial motor vehicle collision with overhead hydro wires on Wellington Street East in Mount Forest.

The driver did not sustain any injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 42-year-old from Ayton, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Careless driving

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph at a later date.
