WELLINGTON OPP ARREST TWO IMPAIRED DRIVERS ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT

(WELLINGTON COUNTY, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged two drivers with impaired-driving related offences on Halloween night.
On October 31, 2025, at approximately 10:45 pm, members of the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Metcalfe Street in Elora.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old from Waterloo is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
There were no injuries as a result of this collision.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on a later date.
The accused’s name is being withheld, out of concern for their well being.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
Further, on October 31, 2025, at approximately 11:00 pm, members of the Wellington County OPP responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 6 in Wellington North Township.
As a result of the investigation, Norma MULHALL, a 70-year-old from Mount Forest is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous operation
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on November 14, 2025.
