OVERNIGHT THEFT FROM VEHICLES IN FERGUS

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - Three Fergus residents reported overnight thefts from their vehicles yesterday.
On March 12, 2026, at approximately 10:30 am, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Tait Crescent in Fergus. The incident is believed to have occurred overnight on March 11, 2026. An unknown suspect entered the vehicle, stole the victim’s banking cards and subsequently made approximately $400.00 in unauthorized purchases.
Additionally, on March 12, 2026, at approximately 1:30 pm, a member of the Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Scotland Street in Fergus. The incident is believed to have occurred overnight on March 11, 2026. An unknown suspect entered the vehicle and stole approximately $4,500 worth of property.
Further, on March 12, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, a member of the Wellington County OPP responded to the report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Darroch Way in Fergus. The incident is believed to have occurred overnight on March 11, 2026. An unknown suspect entered the vehicle and stole a camera.
The suspect from this incident was captured on surveillance footage and is described as: white, male, short brown hair, x2 pairs of sunglasses on top of head, medical face mask, black jacket, khaki-coloured pants, black shoes, several miscellaneous items in hands.
