SUV COLLIDES INTO TRACTOR TRAILER
- No Injuries Reported - Five Charges Laid(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) - SUV collides into tractor-trailer.
On March 31, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-motor vehicle collision involving a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Wellington Road 124 and Wellington Road 32, within Guelph-Eramosa Township.
The intersection was briefly closed as a result of the collision but has since been reopened.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the SUV, a 30-year-old of Cambridge is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Careless driving
- Driving while under suspension (two counts)
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
- Driver - fail to properly wear seatbelt
In addition to the charges, a 45-day vehicle impound was also issued.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the provincial offences court - Guelph, at a later date.
