INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO CHARGES

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Two Arthur residents face charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.
On December 14, 2025, at approximately 9:15 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance at an address within Arthur.
As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault with a weapon
Additionally, a 49-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault - spousal
Neither party sustained injuries.
Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
