WELLINGTON OPP INVESTIGATING THEFT AT FERGUS BUSINESS

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three persons of interest in connection to a recent shoplifting incident in Fergus.
On May 13, 2026, at approximately 11:30 pm, a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft from Giant Tiger on Tower Street South in Fergus.
It was revealed that on May 9, 2026, at approximately 4:15 pm, three suspects entered the store, concealed approximately $700 worth of food and clothing, and left the store without attempting to pay.
The Wellington County OPP is investigating this incident and is looking to identify the involved suspects.
Suspect 1 is described as:
- Approx. 50 years old
- Female
- 5’7”
- Average build
- Black hair
- Black dress with head covering
Suspect 2 is described as:
- Early 20’s
- Female
- 5’5”
- Average build
- Long black hair
- Black dress

- Early 20’S
- Female
